Waxing vs. Shaving vs. Threading?
Denver Body Waxing and Threading both remove the hair from the root (desired effect), slows the 3 phases of growth and you only see 1 phase grow at a time. Waxing is fastest and takes off the most. There is heat involved, as well as slightly more pull on the skin. I use a great wax but if you're too sensitive, you're just too sensitive.
Threading has much less of a pull on the skin, no heat involved. Fantastic for sensitive skin or users of Dermatologist Prescribed Medication. An old and simple method. Some believe it lasts longer than the usual body waxing Denver residents typically get, but it's usually about the same time.
Shaving only cuts surface hair. It Irritates and cuts skin. NOT recommended on women's Faces, Underarms and Bikini Areas. These skin areas are all sensitive and almost always reject shaving.
Will I procure darker or thicker hair after a Denver Body Waxing session?
It's not the hair removal that gives you thicker and/or darker hair. Usually, sorry to say, it's hormones or other natural causes.
Will it hurt?
Depending on the area, not really. The kind of body waxing Denver spas usually offer is not supposed to be the most pleasant but when done right, it is definitely tolerable!
Can I get waxed during my Menstrual Cycle?
Yes but it is not recommended, since it enhances pain. Wait 2 weeks before or after the cycle when possible.
Pre and Post Hair Removal care.
No sun or tanning beds 48 hours before or after. Exfoliate (with a body brush, gloves or a "Body" scrub) the day before, be gentle and use circular motions. . It is not the best idea to shower RIGHT before, we do not want the skin to be wet! Numbing creams are awesome! They take the edge off. I can help you with an "Aftercare Regimen."
How long should the hair be?
I prefer ½ Inch. Better for the wax/thread to remove it and not have to go in with much tweezing! ½ inches = 2 weeks after your last shave, 2-4 weeks is best.
How long will it last?
Proper hair removal will last 2-3 weeks. Around the 4th - 5th week you'll be perfectly ready for your next visit.
What are the 3 Types of Bikini Waxes?
Traditional Bikini means you cannot see hair outside of the panty line. Even if they're teeny weeny.
French aka "Modified" Bikini means a little off the lips and all off the back.
Brazilian Bikini means ALL pubic hair, you can keep a patch, small or large.
Bad waxing experience?
I Have heard this a million times and changed a million minds. You most likely had a bad esthetician who was not experienced in the service they provided you. This goes for ALL services I provide. There are quite a few factors that go into waxing, facials, tinting, trimming, etc. I always urge my clients to be informed!!!! Ask away! I will answer.

What is my skincare concept?
I generally stick to a "natural" ingredient based product. I do not mean only anything as direct as whipping up some avocado for a mask but products that are derived from nature and not adding synthetic preservatives in! Ingredients to watch out for: anything with parabens, phthalates, mineral oils, petroleum, petrolatum.
What is the shelf life of natural based products?
Shelf life means the time from the distributor to the store shelf to you, which is 18-24 months.
So your products' cabinet life should be around 8-9 months. This means you can stay on top of a day and night home care regimen.
